I'm ba-ack!

Welcome to my new blog!!

I'm Lindsay.  I'm a thirty-something mom to 2 kiddos, wife, homeowner with a full-time job and 2 dogs.  Sound familiar? Life is busy, amIright?? Trying to squeeze in "you-time" including FITNESS is HARD!! But it HAS to be priority.  Your health depends on it.  So here I am - to help you achieve your health and fitness goals!! Because I am well on my way to reach mine and I feel like I've found the SECRET!! So in my over-sharing nature, I want to share it with all of you who feel like me: frustrated when you don't get results.  Because let's face it; results keep you motivated!

I am not new to the world of blogging...in my former life (interior designer, Etsy shop owner) I blogged all the time! Well life happened, I shut down the website/blog/shop and I moved along a new path that called me. I don't know how it happened but I did and I'm so, so glad! I just followed the signs, right? About 2 years later and I now work full time in a career that I am LOVING! We recently bought our 2nd house (I am still in shock that this amazing house is MINE!). My kids and my husband are awesome and we feel so very blessed in life. I can't explain how it all happened, but I feel like I was just led down every path I've taken. And as I am getting comfortable in this new routine, I have found something else that I am passionate about! Fitness!! Okay, I guess I have always been passionate about fitness, but I never really knew the secrets to getting results. Besides training for a half marathon or remodeling your house. Those 2 things got me results. But that is A LOT of work. So I would work out here and there and feel pretty good, but I need more than that to stay motivated.  I never stick with ANYTHING for very long otherwise.

And that is how I found Beachbody.  Back around New Year's Day, I finally took one of my lifelong friends (Hi Emily!) up on her offer to join her Challenge Group and start the Insanity Max:30 program. I'm going to be honest...I had no idea what I was getting into. I didn't realize how long the program was (or that it was really even a "program"), what the "instructions" were (why would a workout DVD come with instructions? I just push play, right?!?), or what Beachbody and Shakeology was even about. So when I got the box in the mail I glanced at the booklets that came with it, threw them back in the box, mixed up some Shakeology and pushed play. I worked my butt off and drank my Shakeology for 2 weeks. I felt great but the scale didn't budge. That is frustrating, especially when everyone in my Challenge Group was watching the pounds drop. So I went back to the booklets that came with it and really looked at the nutrition guide.  What a concept, right?!?!  THAT is the KEY!  I followed it to a T (which was so easy, by the way...I just needed to make a few modifications to what I was doing) for the next week and I immediately dropped 5 pounds and my energy level SOARED!!!  I couldn't stop raving about my results.  So Emily asked me if I was interested in coaching.  I did some Googling, some YouTube-ing, asked her LOTS of questions and decided to go for it.  So here I am!  Sharing my results and ready to help you reach your fitness goals!  Once and for all!!  Because I want to share the secrets to success! They don't have to be secrets.
